Heartland Chapter


Is a group of blind, visually impaired, and interested sighted people from Central Oklahoma, who come together to socialize, discuss issues related to visual impairment, and advocate for a better life for the blind and visually impaired community.


Heartland Council meets the first Saturday of the month at Deaconess North building, 5701 North Portland, Oklahoma City, at 1:30 p.m. For more information contact Frances Poindexter.

10th Annual Dining in the Dark event will be held at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum at 1117 NE 63rd, Oklahoma City, OK on June 2, 2018 at 5:30 pm.

Come and experience the smell and taste of the excellent food from the Petroleum Club while being blindfolded. Each table will have their own blind guide to help with your experience.
